Christian is a hugely likeable Geordie with sharp lines and real warmth.

His great banter will get any audience onside and for this reason he is very much in demand as a compere. He performs as an MC and an act at the best clubs across the UK, lighting up rooms with his energy and high performance levels. Christian is the regular MC at several comedy nights around London and the south east.

As well as clubs in the UK Christian has performed in Ireland (at the world famous Belfast Empire), Holland, Iceland and Tenerife. Aside from comedy venues he has performed at music festivals - including Glastonbury - and theatres. He once played to a packed house of 3500 children and teenagers at Newcastle City Hall in his home town.

Before going into stand up Christian was a professsional actor who trained and LAMDA and was a member of the National Youth Theatre. He has apperaed at the RSC and was in HBO drama 'Shackleton' with Kenneth Branagh.

"Christian Steel was the perfect compere for National Theatre Connections at the Theatre Royal Newcastle. We were looking for a role-model in the arts for our young performers and we found that in Christian. His comedy had our 1300 young people audience energized and geared up for the performances throughout the weekend. The performers in the festival saw in him, another way of exploring acting through comedy - we think he may have inspired more than just a few.
