Until Easter 2012, I took and achieved the following grades:

Modern – Grade 6
Jazz – Level 4

I have appeared in three Grayes Shows which are performed every three years at Epsom Playhouse Theatre over four nights. Our most recent production was at Easter 2012.

Singing

I had private singing lessons on a fortnightly basis. I have attained Grade 5.
Additional Information

For the past 6 years, I have been attending a local drama class, gradually building both my skills and qualifications in drama. When I first began, I could not see myself standing on stage, acting, singing or dancing in front of an audience. Now I cannot imagine wanting to do anything else! My life really does revolve around the theatre and whether I am preparing for a role, taking part in a competition or a LAMDA exam, or attending a play in the West End, drama is what excites me and I know that I really want to try and make a career out of it.

When I joined Glenthorne High School’s sixth form, they were also offering places at their newly opened Drama Academy.
The Drama Academy combines full time academic study with preparing for a professional career in theatre whilst gaining evidence towards a BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Acting, in addition to the Drama ‘A’ Level that I am also studying for. Places at the Academy were awarded through an audition process. The Drama Academy programme is a two year programme, running in parallel with my Drama ‘A’ Level. The classes are led by industry professionals, including directors, producers and agents, helping us create a network of industry contacts. The Academy has given me additional invaluable experience, as well as a lot of hard work! Last summer, I was given the opportunity to take a piece of theatre up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which was an amazing experience and one I would like to repeat. As I play more diverse roles, my self confidence continues to grow and although I know it is a highly competitive industry, I want to give it my all and show that I have what it takes to succeed.
