Geoff Schumann
Geoff Schumann is known by many as one of the leading Black performers in Britain. The former school teacher and qualified youth worker has smoothly moved from one public arena to another.

Geoff has many awards and was rewarded with the outstanding contribution to comedy award 2001 at the black comedy awards. He was also voted youth personality of the year at the prestigious voice awards (2000). Geoff Schumann is more than just an entertainer. He is also one of the leading black comedy actors on the cabaret circuit. It is from here that he has earned the title." The Big Man Of Comedy". Geoff has made numerous television appearances ranging from comedy shows such as The Stand up Show, Club Class, Nights out at the Empire. He has also appeared in The Bill, Minder, and Casualty. He also starred in the last series of BBC2's The Real McCoy.

In August 1996 Geoff was the subject of a BBC documentary entitled`The day that changed my Life'. (Transmitted August 17th 1996). A documentary about why he left teaching. He was chosen in November 1997 by the BBC to host BBC2's late night dating game show called Get it On.

From August 1997 until March 2004 Geoff hosted the highly popular breakfast show on Choice Fm. Schumann was hailed as the Urban morning voice of London. He also had the highest ever rated programme on the station, this being his highly successful comedic/serious weekend solo show (Schumann Shuffle). He has been described as the most popular broadcaster in Choice FM's 20 year History.
In October 2003 He presented a documentary for Channel 4's Dispatches series called ‘Thug Life’. The programme looked at the escalating tensions between young black men in Urban areas. Click here to read more about Thug Life.

His personality-led radio style has won him critical acclaim and a whole new audience when he moved to BBC Radio London in March 2004. Schumann hosted a variety of shows for the BBC including his own solo show for four years. In June 2008 Geoff moved to BANG FM where he hosted the weekday breakfast show. In July 2009 Geoff moved to Platinum radio. After a very succesful stint as their morning host Geoff now hosts the breakfast show on the Soul Of London Radio or www.TSOLRADIO.COM
