David Gardner
Former Royal Marines Commando David Gardner began in comedy in the early nineties as a comedy producer promoting shows across the south and southwest of England eventually moving into comedy management, managing Reginald D Hunter guiding him to two Edinburgh International Arts Fringe Festival Perrier Award nominations in 2002 and 2003.

He then co founded the social enterprise ‘Confidence through comedy’ a community interest company set up to help young people reframe their lives and improve self-worth, self-esteem therefore self-confidence using workshops to facilitate personal development through improvisation, comedy and positive mentoring.

Now he takes to the stage with an honest comedy performance delivering a rare insight into his life as a young black Royal Marines Commando in the eighties, living in the southwest, Ian Wright, pasties and cream teas, how he got his nick names, dubious leather samples and much more. Expect fascinating anecdotes, thought provoking stories and hilarious conclusions.
